Casino Sells Winning $150Million Powerball Jackpot Ticket

The Powerball drawing for Saturday had a staggering jackpot of $150million up for grabs and it’s since been revealed that there is a winning ticket out there somewhere and the lucky ticket was bought at The Gold Ranch Casino and RV Resort in Verdi. Strangely enough, the casino is positioned within Nevada jurisdictions whilst the lottery sales are situated within the California state.

Should the winner decide on the cash lump sum option, after federal taxes and the usual deductions, they will take him $60million, or, to take advantage of the full settlement, the winner could choose to have the £150million fortune spread out over a 30-year period ($5,000,000 a year).

The winning numbers in the recent Powerball draw were: 03-23-32-37-58 and the Powerball was 22. The odds of the lucky ticket holder matching all five numbers and the Powerball were one in 292,201,338!

The Gold Ranch which labels itself California’s busiest lottery location said in a statement: “One incredibly lucky person bought the winning Powerball ticket.” Past jackpots at the casino resort have included $122,781 in December 2016, £340,982 in January 2017 and $2.3million in June this year.
