Mega Millions Winning Numbers and Latest Winners

Mega Millions Winning Numbers and Latest Winners

Mega Millions drawing for Friday 31st January are in – 28, 31, 33, 57, 62 and the Mega Ball 19 failed to produce a jackpot winner, however, there is good news for four lucky ticket holders in the US.

Lottery players in North Carolina, California and New Jersey matched all five white balls to scoop $1m each, whilst one lucky ticket holder in Texas scooped twice that of the other trio of winners, thanks to the lucky multiplier.

The jackpot was estimated at $155m, or $108.3million for the cash option. Due to there being no winners of previous draw, the jackpot for Tuesday rose to $168m (cash option is $118.8m).

Lucky December

December 17th drawing was worth a staggering $375m and while we were all searching our pockets for the single winning ticket, the big prize was claimed in Ohio, after the winner formed a trust. Lottery officials said that “The Great Hope Trust” opted for the cash option and will receive $182,555,782 after 28% state and federal taxes are deducted.

Ohio’s jackpot winner became the 32nd largest prize winner in US lottery history and the 14th largest Mega Millions jackpot since its invention back in 2002.

Do you have your lottery tickets into the next draw? You could be the next big winner making jackpot history. You can’t win unless you’re in! Good luck!

Powerball Jackpot Surges to $394m After No Wins on Saturday

Powerball Jackpot Surges to $394m After No Wins on Saturday

Life-changing decisions will be heading towards one lucky winner, should they manage to scoop the expected $394m fortune in the upcoming Powerball draw. Nobody managed to match all six numbers drawn on Saturday, which means the top prize has spiralled for Wednesday’s upcoming draw.

Winning a huge sum of money would certainly open up many different possibilities, but there are many problems waiting to meet the winner. Do you know when to claim? How to claim and whether or not to go public? Then you have to seek financial guidance as to where to put or protect your windfall. Can you trust those you’re getting involved with such a large sum of money? And last but not least – do you go for the one-off payment or the full amount in annual instalments (over 30-years).

You have between three months and a year to claim your winnings – that should leave plenty of time to organise what you’re doing. If you’re going for the lump sum, you need to be savvy and have a mental attitude to be able to carry this out the right way.

The cash option for the next Powerball draw is $274.6m, but after federal taxes and other charges, that sum would leave you with $208.7m – which isn’t to be sneezed at. You need to surround yourself with proper financial advisors and experienced experts who know what to do with such large amounts of cash.

Have you got your ticket yet?

First Powerball Millionaire of 2020 is Named Plus News of a Mega Millions Winner

First Powerball Millionaire of 2020 is Named Plus News of a Mega Millions Winner

A new year is said to bring new possibilities. Wash away the previous year and welcome in a new one with a positive attitude. But, in reality, positivity wont net you a win on the lottery unless you’ve bought a ticket. And we bet Blaine Marston of Maine is thanking his lucky stars he bought a ticket in December, because he woke to the news on January 1st, 2020, of being the very first Powerball millionaire of the new year.

The Powerball drawing for $1,000,000 went live just after midnight during “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020” on ABC. Gregory R. Mineo, POWERBALL Product Group Chairman and Maine Lottery Director said; “Congratulations to our First POWERBALL Millionaire of the Year! This has been an exciting night in POWERBALL history. We look forward to creating even more millionaires in the New Year, while raising money for good causes supported by lotteries.”

Country artist Jessie James Decker revealed the winner live on air and when Blaine was informed of his win, he said; “I can’t even believe it, this is unreal. Like I’m dreaming!”

The First Powerball Millionaire Drawing was unveiled at last year’s celebrations and continued throughout the summer. Entries are created from players who purchase tickets from 25 participating jurisdictions. More than 300 of those won a VIP trip to New York to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2020 and were then entered into a draw to win that $1m.

The first lottery to launch the First POWERBALL Millionaire of the Year promotion was the South Dakota Lottery, followed by the Wisconsin Lottery and New Mexico Lottery.  Additional participating jurisdictions included Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Mega Christmas

A lucky Mega Millions ticket holder had a Christmas to remember after bagging a whopping $375million jackpot. The single ticket winner from Ohio matched all six numbers drawn on December 17th to win that life-changing sum, making it the 14th largest prize in the history of the game. The winning numbers were 22, 30, 53, 55 and 56 plus the gold Mega Ball 16.

The Mega jackpot had been rolling over since it was last won in Texas on September 24th; $225m was won in that drawing. Huge wins of 2019 included $437m in New York on January 1st, $273m in New Jersey on March 1st, $50m in Missouri on March 12th, $522m in California on June 7th and $168m in New Hampshire on July 23rd.

Powerball Results for Saturday’s Drawing – Did Anyone Scoop the $130m Jackpot?

Powerball Results for Saturday’s Drawing – Did Anyone Scoop the $130m Jackpot?

Saturday night’s Powerball drawing was for the phenomenal sum of $130m, but did anyone actually manage to scoop that life-changing sum? The winning numbers for December 7th were: 18, 42, 53, 62, 55 with the Powerball being 25. The Power Play was 3x. There’s good news and bad news; the bad being that nobody managed to match all the numbers to win, but the good news is the next jackpot for December 12th stands at $140m.

Nobody managed to win $1m either – that’s all five white balls, but, a total of 11 people did manage to match four of the five white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000 each and one person also purchased the Power Play feature which boosted their original winnings of $50K to $150K – the Power Play 3x multiplies the winnings by three times.

The last time all five white numbers and the Powerball were matched was back in November when a lucky ticket holder in California matched the all the numbers to win the $150m jackpot, but as of yet, nobody knows whether the anonymous winner opted for the cash lump sum of $1-4.8m after taxes or the total sum of $150m paid in 30 yearly instalments.

Powerball plays twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays with draws beamed live from the lottery studio in Tallahassee in Florida. Each ticket costs just $2 but there is an option to purchase the Power Play option like our recent winner did, to multiply your winnings (if you’re lucky enough to win). If you can correctly predict five numbers from 1 to 69 as well as a Powerball from 1 to 26, you will be the next big winner.

Britain’s Biggest Ever Lottery Winner Has Come Forward to Claim £170m

Britain’s Biggest Ever Lottery Winner Has Come Forward to Claim £170m

A lucky ticket holder in the UK has hit the headlines after claiming a record-breaking win of £170m, after the EuroMillions rolled over a total of five times. Back in October, a single winner managed to match all five main balls drawn and the two lucky stars to become the largest ever winner in the UK. The lucky numbers were 07, 10, 15, 44, 49 and the stars: 03, 12 and this win has made them wealthier than Adele who has amassed a fortune of £150m throughout her singing career and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What an amazing win – the biggest ever on The National Lottery. The team will now support and help guide the ticket holder as they begin their adventure with this life changing win. By buying a ticket for EuroMillions or any other National Lottery game, every player is helping to raise money for good causes.”

Another big winner was Steve also from the UK who only discovered he’d won £105,100,701.90 after going to work! Steve said, “I am not sure I even looked at the first 2 lines, the third one just jumped out and I could instantly tell they all matched. I started shaking a lot. I knew it was a really big win but didn’t know what to do. I went out to my van, walked back in, thought about knocking on a neighbour’s door, went back to the van – I think I was on the verge of having a heart attack.”

Speaking on his win with the National Lottery, the lucky fella has revealed that his wife originally thought he had won £105K and requested they go away for Christmas, but he had to instantly point out there were far more zeros on the confirmation app than she expected! His children have put in very modern requests with his oldest son asking for a bedroom to himself, his daughter is hoping for a pink iPhone and their other 10-year old son is requesting a Tesla – yes, the real deal!

EuroMillions Winner Went from Beans on Toast to Jimmy Choos Over Night

EuroMillions Winner Went from Beans on Toast to Jimmy Choos Over Night

The EuroMillions is a popular draw across Europe with players purchasing tickets in the hope of landing a huge win, and in each country, the Millionaire Raffle will produce a guaranteed set number of winners in each draw. One lucky Brit has gone from eating beans on toast and just scraping by to splashing out on expensive designer clothes and shoes after becoming one of those Millionaire Raffle winners.

Single mum of one, Ruth Breen, 39, was struggling to get by as a midwife so regularly ate beans on toast for tea, but her £1million win at EuroMillions has taken her from rags to riches! An overdraft that was always in the negative and not being able to afford satellite tv nor broadband internet are things of the past for the lucky winner after she received a life-changing email whilst at work.

On her lunch break, Ruth logged into her emails and noticed an email from The National Lottery with news of a win. She logged into her Lottery account and was shocked to see she had a congratulatory message with the sum of £1million next to it. Will you be the next big winner?

There is a Millionaire Raffle in every country – don’t miss out on your chance to win big!

Casino Sells Winning $150Million Powerball Jackpot Ticket

Casino Sells Winning $150Million Powerball Jackpot Ticket

The Powerball drawing for Saturday had a staggering jackpot of $150million up for grabs and it’s since been revealed that there is a winning ticket out there somewhere and the lucky ticket was bought at The Gold Ranch Casino and RV Resort in Verdi. Strangely enough, the casino is positioned within Nevada jurisdictions whilst the lottery sales are situated within the California state.

Should the winner decide on the cash lump sum option, after federal taxes and the usual deductions, they will take him $60million, or, to take advantage of the full settlement, the winner could choose to have the £150million fortune spread out over a 30-year period ($5,000,000 a year).

The winning numbers in the recent Powerball draw were: 03-23-32-37-58 and the Powerball was 22. The odds of the lucky ticket holder matching all five numbers and the Powerball were one in 292,201,338!

The Gold Ranch which labels itself California’s busiest lottery location said in a statement: “One incredibly lucky person bought the winning Powerball ticket.” Past jackpots at the casino resort have included $122,781 in December 2016, £340,982 in January 2017 and $2.3million in June this year.

Unclaimed $1 Million Powerball Prize Gifted to Schools in Michigan

Unclaimed $1 Million Powerball Prize Gifted to Schools in Michigan

Michigan’s state School Aid Fun has received a significant boost thanks to someone else’s Powerball win. The ticket estimated to be worth somewhere in the region of $1 million went unclaimed. The winning ticket holder had until Thursday to claim their win but failed to do so. The winning Powerball ticket was purchased at the Speedway gas station on 10070 Highland Road in Hartland on October 3rd 2018 (Wednesday), and saw the winner match all five white numbers drawn on that night.

Unclaimed Powerball prize

The unclaimed lottery prize has been awarded to the school fund as a result of the winner not coming forward and will benefit may of the schools across the state. This isn’t the first time a win has been unclaimed in the Powerball lottery; earlier this year, another $1 million winning ticket which was bought in Ypsilanti also went unclaimed.

The biggest ever unclaimed prize was worth a staggering €34 million and was drawn back in 1998, so t’s safe to say the winner won’t be coming forward to claim the life-changing win after more than a decade.

All the Two’s Sees Record Number of Players win South Carolina Lottery

All the Two’s Sees Record Number of Players win South Carolina Lottery

The Pick 4 Lottery game in South Carolina is extremely popular with the players and this is because you’ve more chance of scooping a nice prize with fewer balls, but the lottery organisation was surprised to learn that in the recent drawing (Saturday), almost 1400 people won and each of those players had chosen the exact same numbers; 2-2-2-2.

The record number of wins will see players picking up anything between $2000 and $5000 each and this is a lot of money despite there being so many winners. Holli Armstrong, a lottery spokeswoman told the CNN that the winners were lining up outside the building on Monday to collect their winnings and this was before the pay-out office in Columbia had even opened.

Bottles of water were handed out to the many winners by the lottery due to the soaring temperature in the Southern heat. The amount of cash a single person could win would depend on the number of tickets they had and the amount they spent on those tickets. One lucky winner cashed out $80,000 on choosing 2-2-2-2 and this was from 16 lottery tickets.

It’s estimated that the almost 1400 winners have cost the lottery more than $3.4 million and almost half of this was paid out before midday on Monday. Tuesday also saw a line of winners appear outside the pay-out office, but it was smaller than the day before.

This latest spate of winners blows the previous record of winners on the quadruple 2’s (2-2-2-2) out of the water! On 8th July 2012, 652 winners received cash – fast-forward 7 years and the number of winners soared to approximately 1400!

About the Game

Pick 4 is a four-digit game from the South Carolina Education Lottery. Pick 4 drawings are held every evening at 6:59 and aired live on local television stations. Midday drawings are not televised and are held Monday through Saturday afternoons at 12:59. No midday drawings are held on Sundays or on Christmas Day. Players have the option of choosing to play a straight ticket to match numbers in the exact order drawn or to play a box ticket to match numbers drawn in any order. There is a straight/box choice to cover both possibilities. Players have the option of purchasing a combo ticket equal to 4, 6, 12, or 24 straight plays. Each play costs 50¢ or $1. The odds of winning in the pick 4 game are 1 in 1667 and prizes range from $600 to $1200 per ticket.

Lucky Mega Millions Winner Sits on Winning Ticket Worth $522 Million For Weeks!

Lucky Mega Millions Winner Sits on Winning Ticket Worth $522 Million For Weeks!

Imagine winning more than half a billion dollars on the lottery and then hiding your lottery ticket in a secret place for weeks! This is exactly what one lucky woman from San Diego did recently after discovering she had won more than $520 million on the Mega Millions. Laarni Bibal purchased her lottery ticket from a local market store in San Diego and the day after, she realised she’d hit the jackpot. But it took quite some time for Laarni to claim her win, after hiding her lottery ticket in a secret place for safe keeping. The drawing back in June only produced one winner – Laarni and he won’t have to pay any tax on the winnings either. The option of cash increments of the full amount or a one-off lump sum at a lower amount were offered; the same choice given to every jackpot winner produced and Laarni opted for the one-off payment, which will be approximately $340 million after federal taxes.

More Than One Winner

Speaking to the California State Lottery, Laarni said “My heart started beating really fast” and when pushed for info on her secret hiding place, she said: “I can’t tell you. The secret hiding place is still a secret.”

The Mega Millions winning numbers from the June drawing were 17, 19, 27, 40 and 68 with Mega Ball number 2, but Laarni wasn’t the only one to win with this ticket! The owners of the store in which she purchased the Mega Millions ticket; the Sorrento Deli Mart, will receive $1,000,000 for their part in producing a jackpot winner.

Adrian Goro and his family have been supplying customers with lottery tickets (among other comestibles) for thirty-years now and when they heard of a winner being produced at their store, they were thrilled, but Adrian initially thought they’d won the whole jackpot; “My mom runs upstairs screaming and she’s like, ‘We won the lotto!’ I thought she meant my dad bought a ticket and we won like half-a-billion dollars. I was going out of my mind.” A million dollars is a great prize to have from someone else’s win and the family have decided to open up a restaurant in the building next to their store.

All it took was a $2 lottery ticket and Laarni hit the jackpot! Will you be the next winner? Draws take place twice a week and are available in 44 states across America, Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands. $522 million is a huge sum for anyone to win, but it’s not the biggest sum ever won in the US – that was $1.6 billion and it was one by three lucky ticket holders back on 13th January 2016; two winners came forward instantly, but the third deliberated before claiming their winnings.

Double Cancer Survivor from Oregon on Lucky Streak as He Scoops a $4.6 Million Lottery Jackpot Win

Double Cancer Survivor from Oregon on Lucky Streak as He Scoops a $4.6 Million Lottery Jackpot Win

Cancer is a scary disease and medical professionals have estimated that 1 in 2 of us will be affected by the disease at some point in our lifetime, but for one man from Oregon, he was to face this battle twice. Over the last couple of years, Stu MacDonald of Bend has had to stare death in the face not once but twice and twice he has defeated the evil beast, but his luck was not going to stop there.

On September 7th, Stu purchased a lottery ticket for the Oregon Lottery, but little did he know that a few short hours later, he would be celebrating landing a life-changing sum of money.

The lucky double cancer survivor matched the numbers drawn which were 12, 13, 16, 35, 36 and 45 on his quick pick ticket in which he bought from Ashley’s Café on Northeast 3rd Street in Bend. In a statement released to local press, Stu said: “I am a very lucky guy. I have survived cancer twice and here I am. This is amazing.”

Stu has opted for the one-off bulk payment and after taxes, his win is still a reasonable $1.56million. Tezra Kong, Director of Operations for Ashley’s where the ticket was bought, said: “We are thrilled to learn that we sold a Megabucks jackpot. We are excited for the team who sold the ticket. A big congratulations to our guests on their windfall. Some of the seller’s bonus will go back to the team that strive to delight our guests every day here at Ashley’s in Wagner Mall.” Ashley’s will receive 1% of the selling bonus which comes in at $46,000.

Play the Lottery

What would you do if you won the lottery? Would you tell anyone? Continue to work or ring in sick and never look back? Maybe you should start practice what you should do as there are some huge life-changing sums of money up for grabs in the lottery draws this week, including the Powerball where Sundays drawing came in at an estimated $60,000,000 – the cash value would be a staggering $42.7 million, although we’re yet to hear whether anyone was lucky enough to win the jackpot.

The MegaMillions too has a phenomenal sum of money to be won and it’s estimated that the drawing for 17th September will come in at an eye-watering and lip-smacking $192,000,000 – yes, one-hundreds and ninety-two million dollars! The cash equivalent for this one is $130.7million! If you fancy a punt on the MegaMillions, it will cost just $2 per play; simply pick 6 numbers from 2 separate pools of numbers; 5 different numbers from 1 to 70 (the white balls) and one number from 1 to 25 (golden Mega Ball) to win!
